Contest Rules
| General Information | The freestyle flight, will be flown to music that will be limited to 3 minutes. The required known maneuvers will be handed to the pilot on March 18, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. These known maneuvers will be executed with no music. The pilot will fly to a different set of known maneuvers each day. | | Field Layout | The upper part of the field will be no parking. Everyone will park in the dirt area below the field. Except Vendors and staff The flight line will be Clearly marked and there will not be any flying behind the lines. Everyone will be behind the fence except the pilot and the spotter.
| | Schedule | The competition will be flown from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Starting on March 19, 2008 to March 21, 2008 The drawing of the pilot flight order will be drawn on March 18, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. Pilots need to be there for the drawing, and will recive their known unknown maneuvers for the each day of event. Each subsequent round flight order will be determined by moving the first 5 pilots to the bottom of the flight order each round A new flight order will be drawn for the finals
The west side of the field will be for flights to music only The 500 Masters class will start first on March 19, 2008 to music. The 500 Advance class will fly to music after the 500 Masters class. The 50/600 Master class will start at 1:00 P.M. their flight to music. The 50/600 Advance class will fly to music after the 50/600 Masters Class.
The east side of the field will be for the known unknown maneuvers only The 50/600 Masters Class will start first on March 19, 2008 to the known unknown maneuvers. The 50/600 Advance class will fly to known unknown maneuvers after the 50/60 Masters class. The 500 Master classes will start at 1:00 P.M. their flight to known unknown maneuvers. The 500 Advance class will fly to known unknown maneuvers after the 500 Masters class. | | Flight Times | All flight will not be more than 3 minutes. All pilots will take no more than 1 minute to start their flights. | | Callers Responsibilities | Whenever a pilot is flying he must be accompanied by their caller. The caller will handle the timing and flight schedule for the pilot. Callers will make sure the judges hear all the calls for the pilot. During the known unknown maneuvers the caller is responsible to call out clearly the start and completion of each maneuver. - Example - First maneuver "Begin".. (maneuvers is executed) .."End" During the flight to music the caller will indicate the start of the flight, cuing the music, and anything the pilot needs during the flight. The actions of the caller are the responsibility of the pilot. | | Safety | Every pilot will by safe with every flight and on the field. Any pilot being unsafe will be ask to stop flying and will not be able to finish the event, | | To Do List | All pilots will give a CD of their music to the event coordinator before March 1, 2008. All CD's will have only one track of music to their freestyle flight. If you want to fly to different music on different flights the pilot will need to supply more than one CD to the event coordinator. |
